ERICA SCHAPIRO-SAKASHITA

Erica's background in horticulture and research inspired her pursuit of landscape design. Prior to working at Bart Landscape Architecture, she contributed to research and advocacy efforts at The Cultural Landscape Foundation, including a project that garnered an ASLA Award.

Erica earned her degree at the University of Virginia, where she worked as a Co-Editor of the student-led design journal LUNCH, in addition to being published in the Journal of Architectural Education. She maintains an art practice inspired by design studies, and a general love of plants.
